4 Tips for a Healthier Personal and Professional Garden

We’re in the midst of Spring and our April (and May) showers have created a beautiful outdoor scenery for all of us to enjoy.

It’s time to whip out those gardening tools and pray to the Green Thumb Goddess that your landscaping will be worthy of the Parade of Homes patrons.

A well-maintained garden provides us an aesthetic feeling we often can’t find elsewhere. What if we viewed our personal or business life as a garden?

We all deserve to experience peace and tranquility at all times, right? Here are four tips to help you get started:

1. Build the Wall

The wall provides structure and stability. It traps in the good and keeps the bad out. Whether you’re building your wall from scratch or just repairing it, you need to define what your wall consists of. Your wall could be confidence, supportive friends and family, or reliable employees. Gather your stones, slap on the mortar, and build your compound of happiness.

2. Pull the Weeds

gardenThere are people in our lives who prevent us from accomplishing goals, always ask for help without reciprocation, or just dash our spirits and inhibit growth. It’s time to get rid of the negativity in our lives…pull those weeds.

3. Plant the Seeds

Identify the traits in your life that are working for you. What will help you grow and reach your potential? Identify those people or goals that will help you get where you want and need to be. Plant those seeds, keep watering, and then watch you and your surroundings thrive.

4. Build the Path

Growth has no restriction. You want to be able to continue growing or even change direction at some point in time. Build a path so that you can constantly seek out greater opportunities…or let greatness find you.

We all lose control of aspects of our lives at times and feel as if we have no control over negative factors we encounter. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Although we can’t stop these things from happening, we can choose how we handle them.

So the next time you feel this way, do a little landscaping!
